FWCS Celebrates Commencement of Class of 2022
Fort Wayne Community Schools will celebrate commencement Wednesday, June 1, Thursday, June 2, Friday, June 3, and Saturday, June 4, for the more than 1,700 members of the Class of 2022.
The members of the Class of 2022 leave their high schools with varied future plans. Some will pursue higher education at institutions such as Indiana University, Purdue University, North Carolina State University, University of Notre Dame and Duke University. They will study biomedical engineering, education, cybersecurity, journalism, nursing and much more. Some graduates will enter the military or continue working on the technical training they need to start a career in trades such as carpentry or automotive mechanics. But before embarking on their new adventures, they will come together one final time for their graduation ceremonies.
The first graduates of the Fort Wayne Virtual Academy will celebrate commencement at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at Wayne High School.
For the five traditional high schools, commencement ceremonies will be held in the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum’s arena at the following times:
- Snider – Thursday, June 2, 7 p.m.
- South Side – Friday, June 3, 7 p.m.
- Wayne – Saturday, June 4, 10 a.m.
- North Side – Saturday, June 4, 1:30 p.m.
- Northrop – Saturday, June 4, 5 p.m.
